Well Structured to address Re-structured APDRP
The list of projects won and successfully executed by Phoenix in the last three years alone stand testimony to our expertise in the power utility sector and our commitment to successful execution.
Phoenix is well known for its pioneering IT efforts in APEPDCL, Visakhapatnam and APCPDCL, Hyderabad right from our inception in 2001. It is through our consistent effort that both these utilities have come to be known as IT savvy across India. Further, Phoenix has been the partner in progress of APEPDCL helping them through every stage of their internal reforms and innovative programs right from consumer indexing, spot billing, trouble call center, new service connection desks, customer help desks, bill collection counters, revenue accounting and so on. Today, all the customer facing processes at APEPDCL covering revenue management and customer management are completely handled through time tested mPower software from Phoenix. These efforts are further consolidated by a comprehensive workflow management system called EPIMRS and an executive dashboard leveraging business intelligence concepts. Together APEPDCL and Phoenix were successful in bringing down the AT&C looses down to less than 8%, a remarkable achievement in the Indian utility industry.
The APDRP funded Stage-I Computerization project for Kanpur Electricity Supply Company (KESCo) is one of its kind turn-key system integration project involving complete hardware supply, establishment of 36 location RF based WAN network, customization and rollout CIS suite(new service connection, metering, billing, collections, accounting, disconnections/dismantlement, customer service, web self-service etc) , apart from consumer indexing, GIS mapping, centralized customer care /trouble call center, materials management, energy audit etc., Based on our knowledge, this is the only project of this size implemented under APDRP I and involving most of the modules envisaged under R-APDRP now.
Similarly, our Nepal project was executed for Nepal Electricity Authority, an integrated billing and customer care solution, funded by ADB under the supervision of PA Consulting. It involved implementation of all the modules for commercial functions, i.e., new service connection, metering, billing, accounting, collections, credit control/debt management, customer service, energy audit, MIS etc and integration with their existing applications for GIS, financial planning & accounting, MIS and Human Resource management.
